copenhagen�s music for dreams continue their string of pearls in 2016 with the 12� release of apiento & lx�s dish. at the request of cutting edge danish designer trine lindegaard, paul byrne (aka apiento) created this music to accompany her dish project - a playful fusion of food, fashion and art - when it premiered at 2016 copenhagen fashion week. for the project, lindegaard worked with members of integration organization itmv in copenhagen to produce clothing items based on their favourite food dishes, apiento and regular collaborator uk-based house producer lx, used the recorded interviews of their discussions as raw material with cut-up samples of the women�s voices woven into the music for the runway show. the result is an ethereal and avant-garde mix of crisp beats and featherlight percussion blended in a fresh and modern oriental-flavoured balearic groove packed with gorgeous flutes and kalimbas. the powerful dub on the flip-side brings a heavier more trippy feel geared firmly for the dancefloor. as well as a string of great remixes and edits as apiento, paul byrne is also well known for his behind-thescenes work with labels like junior boy s own, international feel and deewee, and for his highly influential blog test pressing. limited edition vinyl - don�t miss.

�day of my death� by pavel milyakov, also known as buttechno, is his 8th release coming out this year. it consists of 6 pieces which were composed for gosha rubchinskiy s/s 17 show and performed in a extraordinary place in florence which is depicted on the front cover. mostly ambient, overdriving noise soundscapes and spoken word collages referring to the dreamy mood of the show. this work is more serious and mature than milyakov�s previous releases, exploring deeper and sacred images of his world.

it s time to present hund records 003. the third release of the new born label is a really minimal bomb. the 2 originals are made by a serious work by dubfuss and phatool, hund resident djs and also co- owner of the same name label. dubtool 1 is a track with some dark infuences while dubtool 2 is a pure dance foor track.

we are starting the new macadam mambo 7 inch series with 2 crazy acid house / electro tracks by japanese�s new comer jin cromanyon. we�ve been in touch since last february in japan where we met for the first time and decided to work on this project. those 2 tracks will also feature on cromanyon�s lp, in preparation for next year. rémy mattei, who previously made the artwork for ultima sensazione last year, is back with a demential drawing. shortly it�s crazy, it�s dope and it�s limited to 350 copies, so don�t sleep.

moscow records close 2016 with a fantastic 3-track ep from berlin imports roustam and tolga fidan. this being their first outing together, the pair deliver a high quality, intelligent journey through minimal house and techno. the record opens with brodsky beat, a groovy, dance floor-focused track. lively percussion and tight bass communicate perfectly with the hope-filled lead to build tension throughout. the omega variant on the a2 has a much more abstract feel. broken beats and skippy percussion play back and forth with deep, spacey hooks and a peculiar synth, giving the listener a sense of mystery. finally, growing up is just a phase is a calming 14 minute trip that uses the entirety of the b side to tell a story of reassurance and calm. laid-back rhythms, guitar samples, relaxed vocals and a wandering synth line work together to form the perfect warmup track.

the erefora land is the first solo record by johan kaseta, lehult founding member. its a nostalgic, hazy affair where the tracks work both on a dancefloor and as the score to an imaginary super nin-tendo rpg. squelching vocal samples (hi!) and bubbling synths are reminiscent of the oldschool, synth-laden nineties game soundtracks young kaseta still cant get enough of. the erefora land is like coming across the soundtrack to earthbound after having forgotten to have ever played it - suddenly a rush of sights, sounds and smells from the past come back to you and gently pull you in.

tokyo�s yoshinori hayashi makes his debut on lovers rock with �asylum,� an ep of deliciously bent avant-house and free jazz-esque voyages. hayashi has been making a name for himself as a formidable studio talent, and on �asylum� he offers some of his finest work to date. �agent dissolving device� welds louche narration, kaleidoscopic atmospheres and an energized girl-group hook to an earworm groove. an invaluable tool for adventurous djs, �so wrong it�s right� doesn�t begin to describe it. meanwhile, the b-side is given over to hayashi�s more sombre, quasi-chamber music leanings. �burrow� and �the old man� both use wheezing, wandering piano figures to articulate a mournful, bleary-eyed beauty that seems to flicker in the shadows of the a-side�s extroversion.

sascha borchardt aka monoloc is a dystopic atmospheres fanatic that has dedicated his life to the dance floor from an early age. the frankfurt-born artist�s raw yet sleek take on techno and ambient has evolved to characterise his own musical style in his productions. monoloc�s sound is a mixture between techno, dub and ambient, nurturing a tone that is driving, groovy and low-slung, but with greater emotional range. he acquires most of his inspiration from old movies and likes to work mostly with field recordings in his productions. �the untold way� on dystopian is his second album, following his first in 2012, and shows a notably matured development in the artist�s style.
